Job summary

Confederated Tribes Of The Colville Reservation seeks an Archaeology Technician Senior for a seasonal contract in Nespelem, WA. The role focuses on archaeology, TCP, collections, and museum-related duties, with duties spanning office tasks to assisting senior staff.

The position requires a high school diploma with 3 years’ experience or a relevant degree, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and field techniques.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma and three years’ experience or a degree demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position in Anthropology, Native American Studies, Botany/Plant Ecology, or Museology/Collection Management.
• Requires a valid driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ vehicle insurance and maintain throughout employment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and data entry.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English; ability to prepare standardized correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Performs cultural resources work focusing on archaeology, TCP, collections, cultural plants, and museum duties as assigned.
• Work may range from general office tasks to assisting senior staff and independent work.
• Learn and apply Tribal and agency rules, regulations and policies.
