Job summary

Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation seeks an Archaeology Technician Senior in Nespelem, WA. This non-exempt, contract-funded position performs cultural resources work across archaeology, TCPs, collections, and museums, with duties ranging from office tasks to assisting senior staff and independent work.

The role requires a High School diploma or relevant degree and three years’ experience, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma and three years’ experience or a degree demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position in Anthropology, Native American Studies, Botany/Plant Ecology, or Museology/Collection Management.
• Requires a valid driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ vehicle insurance and maintain throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs cultural resources work focusing on archaeology, traditional cultural properties (TCP), collections, cultural plants, and museum – as assigned.
• Works variedly between general office tasks and assisting senior staff, with ability to work independently.
• Position is contract funded with no guaranteed continuation if funding ceases.
