Job summary

Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation in Nespelem, WA is seeking an Archaeology Technician Senior to perform archaeology and TCP related duties, with flexibility to vary from office tasks to assisting senior staff. The role is contract funded and not guaranteed long-term employment.

The position requires knowledge of archaeology, local history, GIS basics, and proficient use of MS Office. It includes benefits and a Washington state driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma and three years’ experience or a degree demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position in Anthropology, Native American Studies, Botany/Plant Ecology, or Museology/Collection Management.
• Requires a valid driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ vehicle insurance and maintain throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs cultural resources work focusing on archaeology, TCP, collections, cultural plants, and museum duties as assigned.
• Position is contract funded with no guaranteed long-term employment; may work general office tasks or assist senior staff.
• Must be able to work independently after initial training and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
