Zusammenfassung

ERM is seeking a Principal Consultant, Archaeologist to lead cultural resources projects across the United States from our ERM US office. The role emphasizes technical leadership, client service, and business development within a growing Cultural Resources Services team.

You will mentor archaeologists, guide projects, and collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to deliver sustainable solutions for energy and infrastructure clients. Willingness to travel is required.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field.
• 6–8 years of related paid experience.
• Secretary of the Interior-qualified archaeologist listed as an RPA meeting SHPO requirements.
• Demonstrated field experience and principal-level oversight (inventory, survey, testing, data recovery).
• Experience as primary author or reviewer on agency-reviewed technical reports (Class I/III, NEPA sections).
• Ability to travel to field sites and interact with regulatory agencies.

Aufgaben

• Serve as a permitted BLM Principal Investigator.
• Obtain BLM Cultural Resources Use Permits and other necessary permits.
• Provide QA/QC review of deliverables prepared by archaeologists.
• Oversee desktop studies and field investigations (recon, pedestrian surveys, testing, excavations).
• Lead and manage archaeologists across experience levels; participate in hiring and mentoring.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver projects safely, on time and on budget.
