Job summary

Action Target seeks a detail-oriented Senior Accounts Receivable and Payable Specialist to join our finance team in Provo, Utah. You will assist in day-to-day AR and some AP functions, ensuring timely billing, collections, reconciliations, and reporting.

Strong accounting knowledge and proactive issue resolution are essential. The role requires 5+ years AR experience, proficiency in Excel, ERP familiarity, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounts receivable experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AR best practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and customer portals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in full-cycle accounts receivable processes including invoicing, payment posting, and collections.
• Communicate with customers via email and phone to follow up on outstanding invoices, resolve disputes, and answer inquiries.
• Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Review and ensure accuracy of billing data and documentation.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
• Maintain aging reports and follow up with clients regarding outstanding invoices.
• Process credit memos, adjustments, and write-offs as needed.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies related to AR processes.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as requested.
• Code and process incoming vendor invoices in the ERP system and assist with other AP matters.
• Identify process improvements and support implementation of best practices in AR and AP.
