Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. in Andover, MA seeks a Senior Applications Engineer to partner with R&D, Engineering and customers to develop and launch new products and solutions. Travel up to 50% to customer sites and internal labs for testing, installation, and problem solving.

You will provide technical support for worldwide V&IPS products, discuss configurations, and collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers and Sales to quote and train on capabilities.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering or physical science required.
• 5+ years in design, applications, or manufacturing engineering.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work with customers.
• Strong communication and collaboration with internal teams.
• Eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship anticipated.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for worldwide MKS sales for V&IPS products, including product selection and troubleshooting.
• Travel to customer sites to discuss product features and integration, support testing or installation, or troubleshoot problems.
• Work with Product Managers, Engineers, and Applications Engineers to perform tests or demonstrations and resolve customer issues.
• Prepare and price special customer configurations, and assist Sales with quotations.
• Prepare, conduct, and participate in training and education programs on product capabilities.
