Job summary
MKS Instruments is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Andover team, focusing on the design and development of vacuum valves. You will partner with manufacturing, supply chain, applications, and customers to create robust products and drive success across multiple industries.
You will perform 3D CAD modeling, detailed drawings, and simulations (SolidWorks, Comsol, Ansys) to analyze stress, motion, and performance.
Qualifications
- Design and develop mechanical products and assemblies for vacuum valves.
- Lead 3D CAD modeling and provide detailed drawings and specs.
- Perform stress and motion analysis using FEA/CFD tools.
- Apply engineering change control and drive manufacturability.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product design and applications teams to define requirements.
- Prototype, test, and iterate on designs to meet performance goals.
- Work with manufacturing to ensure designs are robust and scalable.
- Contribute to verification, validation, and quality processes.
- Support customers and projects through the product lifecycle.
