Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking an engineer to develop and support vacuum valves in a hands-on, onsite role within a dynamic division.

You will work with product management, manufacturing, and applications to advance designs from concept to production through the PDP process. Qualifications include a BS/MS in engineering, 3+ years of relevant experience, CAD modeling (SolidWorks preferred), and exposure to vacuum technology, with hands-on fabrication experience and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• 3D CAD modeling experience (SolidWorks preferred).
• Exposure to Vacuum Technology.
• Experience with mechanical fabrication techniques (machining, welding, brazing, sheet metal).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and applications to develop and support vacuum valve products.
• Define and execute design and development through prototype production.
• Develop test plans for performance and reliability.
• Design test fixtures and equipment for product evaluation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and operations to ensure designs are manufacturable and scalable.
