Job summary

Onto Innovation Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer to support AOI, CD/Overlay, and 2D/3D products with customers worldwide. The role requires traveling to sites, providing training on system operation, and delivering technical demonstrations.

You will work with the account team to identify opportunities and support implementation of new features while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position may require time in Ireland for project work.

Qualifications

Higher Education in scientific or engineering field is required.
Ability to train customers on system operation and features.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to customers.
Provide on-site and remote applications support to clients.
Assist customers in solving application-related problems for inspection tools.
Support Test Plans and provide execution input for customer projects.
Coordinate with internal teams to determine equipment specifications.
Collaborate with Field Service Engineers for tool acceptance and training.
Document results and provide interpretation of tests and studies.
Contribute to new equipment design or redesign to meet needs.
Apply problem-solving to resolve customer issues and applications.
Develop relationships with customers and identify sales opportunities.
Gather and relay market feedback to strengthen competitiveness.
Travel up to 60% domestically and internationally; work in Ireland (Dublin) for 6-9 months.
