Job summary

Onto Innovation is seeking an Applications Engineer III to support development, validation, and deployment of inspection applications across our product portfolio. The role provides hands-on exposure to semiconductor inspection technologies, application development, product validation, and customer-focused workflows.

Travel up to 30% domestically and internationally is required, with collaboration across North America, Asia, and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and optimizing inspection recipes for defect detection and process monitoring.
• Execute inspection experiments and collect performance data.
• Support creation of customer-focused workflows and demonstrations.
• Help establish Best Known Methods for inspection applications.
• Participate in characterization activities for new products and features.
• Assist with customer demonstrations and evaluations.
• Support cross-functional reviews and technical discussions.
• Analyze inspection data to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
