Job summary

Ziply Fiber is seeking an Applications Engineer II to lead administration, deployment, and optimization of IT applications supporting the business. The role requires deep OSP understanding and strong cross-functional communication with engineers and users.

You will design, test, and deploy diverse OSP practices, ensuring applications remain functional, usable, and reliable across systems and teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management or related field.
Five or more years of engineering and application experience with development and system administration teams.
Three plus years with development teams for functional requirements on distributed server systems.
Five plus years of networking experience with deep focus on outside plant (OSP).
Able to automate repetitive engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

Maintain and operate applications as prime administrator, operator, and SME.
Document and inventory status of integrated applications including external system calls.
Write operating and administering documentation for applications.
Communicate issues to vendors and plan fixes for out-of-the-box applications.
