Dana Canada Corp. in Ohio seeks a senior mechanical engineer to lead product design and validation for automotive powertrain components.

The role emphasizes DFMEA, design reviews, CAD modeling, FEA/CAE analyses, and cross-functional communication across program management, sales, manufacturing, and quality. You'll drive cost-saving initiatives, manage prototypes and DV/PV testing, and contribute to a gated program management process from pre-sourcing through SOP and post-SOP.

Qualifications

• Education: BSME or BSEE; graduate degree preferred.
• Extensive axle or automotive powertrain experience is expected.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and design for manufacturing awareness.

Responsabilités

• Develop product design proposals to meet customer specifications and test requirements.
• Lead product development and validation activities through quotation phase.
• Support cost saving initiatives and proposals.
• Coordinate design reviews and DFMEA activities with cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical support during pre-sourcing, validation, SOP, and post-SOP.
• Prepare test reports and present findings to customers and internal reviews.
• Drive APQP activities and communicate issues to Dana teams.
