DTCC is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to ensure stability, reliability, and performance of mission-critical applications. You will lead incidents, drive automation, and partner with development, infrastructure, and global teams to improve resilience and observability.

The role emphasizes ongoing runbook creation, production releases, DR readiness, and aligning with security and operational controls across cloud and mainframe environments.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of experience in application support or production engineering.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Application Production Support with an SRE mindset focused on reliability, observability, production stability, resiliency, and incident prevention.
• Extensive experience supporting Linux and Windows environments, including log analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Strong scripting and automation across Bash, Shell, Python, Ruby, Perl, and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, and Selenium.
• Deep technical expertise in Oracle, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and related SQL databases.
• ITSM/operational platforms like ServiceNow and Jira for Incident/Problem/Change management.
• Messaging/Queueing tech such as IBM MQ, Oracle AQ, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka.
• Autosys for job scheduling.
• Cloud/Container tech: OpenShift, AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS, IAM Roles), RDS Aurora.
• Mainframe familiarity: COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, SPUFI, File-AID.
• Security, risk, and controls awareness including certificate and access controls.

Responsabilités

• Lead Application Support Engineer role, partnering with engineering and infrastructure to improve reliability and observability.
• Own incident, problem, and major incident management with post-incident reviews.
• Develop runbooks, knowledge articles, and operational documentation.
• Execute releases, changes, and deployments including vendor upgrades.
• Support DR testing and audit readiness.
• Drive automation to reduce toil and optimize alerting.
• Collaborate with global teams for high availability and operational excellence.
• Embed risk and reliability best practices in daily operations.
