Job summary

Janicki Industries in Layton, Utah is seeking an Application Engineer to advance operations through process automation and software integration. The role involves developing and maintaining applications, collaborating with engineering and NC programming, and training users on new tools.

Required 6+ years in a machine shop with CAM experience, CATIA/NX CAD software, NX Open programming, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering field required.
• 6+ years of experience in a machine shop environment including CAM operations.
• Experience with SAP ERP is advantageous.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required.
• Experience with CATIA and NX or equivalent CAD software required.
• NX Open programming experience highly preferred.
• Experience in developing and maintaining CAD/CAM post-processors highly preferred.
• Vericut simulation development highly preferred.
• Experience with composites/lean manufacturing in aerospace preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Must be willing to obtain government-issued security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications to meet company objectives and user needs.
• Design and write code for applications.
• Analyze and edit existing applications to improve functionality.
• Remodel and adapt applications to optimize performance.
• Test applications to ensure they are bug-free.
• Act as a technical advisor to all departments.
• Collaborate with engineering and NC programming teams.
• Create training manuals and provide user training.
• Work with project teams to deliver software solutions.
