Job summary

Janicki Industries, a private aerospace contractor with a Layton, Utah facility, seeks an NC Programmer to plan machining sequences and fixturing for 3- to 5-axis machine tools. You will design 3-D models, create tool paths using Unigraphics CAD/CAM (Siemens NX), select cutting parameters, and collaborate with process engineers to ensure quality and ISO-compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• High School diploma or GED required; college level or trade school education preferred.
• Five or more years of related experience may substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Determines machining methods, cutter types and cutting parameters for various materials.
• Designs 3-D models, drawings and fixturing specifications.
• Creates 3-5 axis tool paths using Unigraphics CAD/CAM, preferably Siemens NX.
• Provides input in production tracking software and works with process engineers to meet quality objectives.
• Creates shop documentation compliant with ISO 9000 standards.
• Reads and interprets engineering drawings and GD&T; operates CNC and manual mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, waterjets, and band saws.
