Job summary

Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield is seeking an experienced IT Application Support professional to manage and troubleshoot complex applications across Wellmark’s systems. You will coordinate with application delivery, infrastructure and security teams to resolve incidents and maintain documentation.

The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, strong analytical skills across data sources, and the ability to engage 3rd party vendors for troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of direct and applicable experience OR a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field plus 4 years of testing/troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to engage 3rd party vendors in troubleshooting
• Demonstrated adaptability to changes and strong communication skills
• Proven analytical abilities across multiple data sources
• Proactive problem solving and organized multitasking

Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot multiple highly integrated/complex applications in support of Wellmark’s systems.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of system incidents and problems with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain documentation and evaluate changes for risk to current environments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security to maintain regulatory and security requirements.
• Assist in research, evaluation, and selection of compliant technology solutions.
