Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Senior Application Analyst responsible for the analysis, building, testing, and implementation of information systems. This role involves developing project schedules, acting as a technical resource, and providing training sessions for staff.
The candidate must have a strong background in system analysis and at least three years of experience in corporate systems used in healthcare, showcasing their ability to improve workflows and manage projects effectively.
Senior Application Analyst responsible for analysis, building, testing, and implementation of information systems and solutions. Accounts for knowledge and skills in assigned software applications and various system environments. Develops and follows project schedules, plans, reviews and timelines. Acts as a technical resource and provides expertise in system installations, building, testing, customization and production support of complex information systems. Participates in project teams, coordinates work assignments, and performs complex problem resolution. Designs training plans and conducts training sessions for end‑users and Information Systems staff. May lead or support Project Management activities required to deliver business‑oriented, valuable and relevant solutions. Reports directly to the Manager, working under guidance of the Lead Application Analyst. Demonstrates commitment to the corporation’s values through active participation in internal improvement programs.
Education: Associates degree and two (2) years experience, or four (4) years experience in lieu of degree.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
Provides technical knowledge in the support of software applications and various system environments. Performs analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation of computer programs and systems. Demonstrates and applies information systems theory, processes, and methodologies.
Develops, prioritizes, and executes projects according to established schedules and timeframes. Maintains effective coordination on all assigned projects. Documents and reports on all plans, priorities, and schedules. Informs Manager on status of all projects and assignments in the form of weekly activity reports.
Translates user systems needs into alternative technical solutions. Performs project reviews and process walkthroughs incorporating technical and business solutions that enhance user productivity and department service levels.
Acts as an advocate for setting and enforcing technical development, application support, and information management standards within and outside the information systems department.
Demonstrates in‑depth knowledge and techniques in supporting Application Analysts and Senior Application Analysts in development projects and complex problem‑solving efforts. Participates in after‑hours technical support by rotating call schedule.
Prepares and conducts training sessions for staff to ensure knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer programs and systems.
Provides effective customer service by being courteous, polite, and friendly toward others at all times. Acknowledges customers immediately, determines need, and helps resolve issues or requests.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by Manager or Team Lead. Ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors; adheres to all policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications. Supports department‑based goals, promotes professional growth, and serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
