Job summary

Regional Management Corp is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to act as the senior escalation point for complex production incidents, guiding investigation, restoration, and root-cause analysis across multiple teams.

The role requires strong incident management, problem resolution, and mentoring capabilities. You will work with application development, infrastructure, and security groups to improve reliability and performance, while maintaining service-management controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience supporting enterprise or production applications, including advanced Level 2/3 troubleshooting.
• Experience leading complex incident resolution and performing root-cause analysis, problem management, and corrective-action follow-through.
• Experience using IT service management platforms and working within Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Configuration Management processes.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft development technologies (.NET, C#, Visual Basic) and MS SQL Server performance troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior escalation point for complex Level 2/3 application incidents and drive investigation to resolution.
• Coordinate resources and communicate status during major incidents to stakeholders.
• Lead problem management, identify root causes, and implement permanent fixes.
• Mentor junior engineers and coach teams on troubleshooting and escalation practices.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and vendor teams to resolve cross-platform issues.
