Job summary

The Intersect Group is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer in Greer, SC to provide advanced support for enterprise applications and production environments. You will own complex Level 2/3 incidents, lead root-cause analyses, and mentor junior engineers to improve reliability and efficiency.

As part of a hybrid team, you will collaborate with software development, infrastructure, and vendor groups, coordinate releases, and optimize monitoring, runbooks, and service management processes

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience supporting enterprise or production applications.
• Advanced Microsoft SQL Server skills, including complex queries and performance troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft .NET, C#, and Visual Basic.
• Experience with application monitoring, logging, and incident management processes.
• Experience with Git and Bitbucket and software delivery tools.
• Experience with IT service management processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Configuration).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior escalation point for Level 2/3 application incidents and root cause analysis.
• Lead triage sessions, post-incident reviews, and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Mentor and guide less experienced team members and coordinate on-call rotations.
• Plan and support application releases, configuration changes, patches, upgrades, and deployments.
• Develop scripts and automation to reduce manual effort and improve recovery time.
• Review designs, deployment plans, and ensure production readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve cross-product issues.
• Maintain runbooks, procedures, and operational documentation.
