Job summary

Synergy Business Innovation & Solutions, Inc. is seeking a qualified Application Developer to support the United States Coast Guard.

You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise web and desktop applications across the full SDLC within a cross-functional Agile team and in direct collaboration with clients. Responsibilities include translating requirements, writing clean code, and ensuring secure, maintainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with a modern frontend framework—Angular (preferred) or React/Vue.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Node.js development with RESTful API design.
• Experience using an ORM; TypeORM preferred.
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL preferred).
• Experience writing/maintaining unit tests (Jest/Jasmine/Mocha).
• Proficiency with Git and Jira/Jenkins/Bitbucket or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and prompting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications across the full SDLC.
• Contribute to technical design decisions and solution planning.
• Gather and document requirements directly from clients and stakeholders.
• Write clean, well-documented code and participate in peer reviews.
• Troubleshoot defects and performance issues in production environments.
• Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and estimation.
