Job summary

Synergy is seeking a highly qualified GIS Developer to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG). Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web and desktop applications across the full SDLC within an Agile team and with direct client interaction.

Responsibilities include coding, architecture input, requirements gathering, and collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure solutions. US citizenship with Public Trust is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (Angular preferred) and TypeScript/JS (ES6+).
• Strong REST API design, Node.js, and ORM usage (TypeORM).
• Relational databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL) and unit testing with Jest/Jasmine/Mocha.
• Proficient in Git with Jira/Jenkins/Bitbucket for CI/CD and issue tracking.
• Familiarity with Agile SDLC and AI-assisted development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications across the SDLC.
• Contribute to technical design decisions and solution planning with Agile teams.
• Gather and articulate client requirements directly from stakeholders.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in peer reviews.
• Troubleshoot defects and performance issues in production and pre-production.
• Engage in Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and estimation.
