Synergy Business Innovation & Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified UI/UX specialist to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG).

This role bridges design and functionality, leading end-to-end creation of user-centered interfaces—from research and wireframes to production-ready front-end code. You will work with a combined Agile team to turn complex requirements into intuitive, performant experiences, conduct user research, maintain a design system, and ensure designs map cleanly to

Qualifications

Experience designing enterprise, data-dense applications.
Proficiency with a modern design tool such as Figma (preferred), Sketch, or Adobe XD.
Strong foundation in interaction design, information architecture, and visual/UI design.
Experience creating and maintaining design systems and reusable component libraries.
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design; ability to communicate with a dev team.
Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

Design end-to-end user experiences—from research and IA to wireframes and production-ready UI.
Translate complex data-heavy workflows into clear, efficient interfaces.
Create and maintain a shared design system and component library for consistency across apps.
Partner with developers to ensure designs are implemented faithfully with specs and tokens.
Conduct user research and usability testing with stakeholders and iterate on designs.
Gather, clarify, and document design requirements from clients and stakeholders.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies across the lifecycle.
