Job summary

Capstone Management is seeking an on-site Apartment Maintenance Technician in Dallas, TX. The role performs repairs on resident requests and preventative maintenance, and handles the make-ready process for vacant units to prepare them for leasing.

The position requires at least one year of apartment maintenance experience and technical training. A valid driver’s license, HVAC certification, and EPA certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum One Year of Apartment Maintenance experience.
• Technical/other training.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing the source or cause of the defect and making repairs per policy and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing by performing inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, and coordinating supplies.
• Follows procedures to access materials, tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies the maint. supervisor about reordering needs.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs/signage, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts and using tools properly.
• Performs preventive maintenance and is willing to work a flexible schedule and on-call.
