Job summary

Fairstead is seeking a Service Manager to supervise repair and maintenance across its property portfolio and ensure timely installation of mechanical equipment. The role emphasizes safety, operational efficiency, and hygienic premises in line with Fairstead standards.

The candidate will lead maintenance staff on projects, handle routine tasks, and be available for overtime on emergencies or special initiatives. Experience in property maintenance and trade proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years experience in property maintenance.
• Proficient in a specific trade with general maintenance and repair skills.
• Knowledge of tools, techniques, and terminology of building and mechanical trades.
• Strong knowledge of accident and safety precautions.
• Knowledge and experience using a variety of tools and equipment to complete tasks.
• Great organization and project management skills.
• Able to implement and improve policies and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Being knowledgeable in Yardi Software and Realpage a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of other maintenance employees.
• Taking a leadership position on special projects.
• Perform a variety of skilled maintenance and repair tasks.
• Strong knowledge of accident and safety precautions.
• Proficient in a specific trade with general maintenance and repair skills.
• Work independently on routine projects and receive assistance for more complex projects.
• Occasional need to work overtime for special projects or emergencies.
