Job summary

Fairstead is seeking a Service Manager to supervise maintenance staff and oversee repair and installation of mechanical systems at our properties. You will ensure cleanliness, safety, and efficient operation in line with Fairstead standards and policies.

The role requires hands-on maintenance ability, leadership on special projects, and strong organizational skills. Competency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with property management software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Three years of property maintenance experience.
• Proficient in a specific trade with general maintenance and repair skills.
• Knowledge of tools, techniques, and terminology of building and mechanical trades.
• Strong knowledge of accident and safety precautions.
• Organized with strong project management skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office; familiarity with Yardi/Realpage is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of other maintenance employees.
• Lead special projects.
• Perform skilled maintenance and repair tasks.
• Ensure safety precautions are followed.
• Work independently on routine projects; seek help for complex ones.
• Occasionally work overtime for special projects or emergencies.
