Job summary

Fairstead seeks a Service Manager to supervise maintenance staff and oversee repair and upkeep of its residential properties. The role ensures timely installation of mechanical equipment and safe operation of all systems, aligned with Fairstead safety standards.

You will lead special projects, perform skilled maintenance tasks, and support operational efficiency across electrical and mechanical systems. Strong trade knowledge and safety expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Three years experience in property maintenance.
• Proficient in a specific trade with general maintenance and repair skills.
• Knowledge of tools, techniques, and terminology of building and mechanical trades.
• Strong knowledge of accident and safety precautions.
• Knowledge and experience using a variety of tools and equipment to complete tasks.
• Great organization and project management skills.
• Able to implement and improve policies and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Being knowledgeable in Yardi Software and Realpage a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of other maintenance employees.
• Taking a leadership position on special projects.
• Perform a variety of skilled maintenance and repair tasks.
• Strong knowledge of accident and safety precautions.
• Proficient in a specific trade with general maintenance and repair skills.
• Work independently on routine projects and receive assistance for more complex projects.
• Occasional need to work overtime for special projects or emergencies.
