Job summary

Fairstead is seeking a Service Manager to supervise property maintenance, ensure timely installation of equipment, and maintain safety and cleanliness across Fairstead’s property portfolio.

You will lead maintenance staff, oversee special projects, and perform a range of skilled tasks with a focus on safety and efficiency. The role supports our mission of high-quality, affordable housing and scalable operations.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in property maintenance.
• Proficient in a specific trade with general maintenance and repair skills.
• Knowledge of tools, techniques, and terminology of building and mechanical trades.
• Strong knowledge of accident and safety precautions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Yardi Software and RealPage is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of other maintenance employees.
• Taking a leadership position on special projects.
• Perform a variety of skilled maintenance and repair tasks.
• Strong knowledge of accident and safety precautions.
• Proficient in a specific trade with general maintenance and repair skills.
• Work independently on routine projects and receive assistance for more complex projects.
• Occasional need to work overtime for special projects or emergencies.
