Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist for a fully remote contract role based out of Little Rock, AR. The ideal candidate has construction-focused AP experience and a strong background in managing lien waivers, subcontractor payments, and complex invoice processing.

You will collaborate with project managers and accounting teams, ensure timely disbursements, and contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives across multiple large projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of senior or lead-level accounts payable experience.
• 2+ years of construction-specific accounts payable experience.
• 2+ years of intermediate-level Excel experience.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and disbursements with accuracy, verifying POs, vendor details, taxes, discounts, and coding.
• Review subcontractor invoices against POs and contracts, validating costs, retainage, and payment terms.
• Manage lien waiver and lien release process, including obtaining, tracking, and collecting documentation.
