Job summary

Motion Industries seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist III to mentor staff and own core AP duties. The role reports to an AP Supervisor and covers supervisory responsibilities in their absence.

The ideal candidate excels in leadership, process improvement, and handling complex payments, including international wires. Responsibilities include training peers, maintaining vendor data across multiple ERP systems, and supporting year-end tax reporting.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Associates degree in Accounting/Business Administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentor non-supervisory AP personnel and assist with training.
• Support AP Supervisors and cover supervisory duties in their absence.
• Meet or exceed departmental productivity metrics.
• Design and improve AP processes for efficiency.
• Create and distribute department reporting for management.
• Handle payables processing and multi-type payments including international wires.
• Verify vendor invoices and tax information; maintain vendor master data across ERPs.
• Assist external customers with e-invoice submission and electronic payment setup.
• Support year-end tax reporting and resolve vendor account discrepancies.
