Job summary

GBMC HealthCare seeks an Accounts Payable professional to verify and process invoices and check requests on a computerized system. You will work with vendors, purchasing teams, and GBMC personnel to resolve inquiries and ensure timely, accurate payments.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience and 3 years of progressive AP experience. Strong data entry, analysis, and communication skills are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
• 3 years progressive experience in Accounts Payable.
• Knowledge of basic accounting laws and IRS regulations applicable to AP.

Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable payments ensuring accuracy per policies and proper documentation.
• Process Vendor Set-Up, W-9 and Sales Tax Exemption requests.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and ensure proper supporting documentation.
• Handle special checks with proper documentation and account charging.
• Reconcile non-complex differences between invoices and POs by contacting stakeholders.
• Maintain AP records, perform data entry and close periodic statements.
• Respond to inquiries from staff, auditors and vendors; resolve issues.
• Administer e-Payables, P-Card programs and month-end close for AP.
