Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator to oversee accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. You will own reconciliations, issue resolution, reporting, and drive process consistency while supporting the AP Manager and month-end close.

You will serve as a resource for vendors and internal stakeholders, maintain vendor records, and help improve invoice flow and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience, a Master's degree and 3 years of related experience, or 8 years of related experience and no degree.
• Proven track record of independent work product production, project management, communication, and coordination with other team members
• Demonstrated management skills

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and check requests, code and approve.
• Prepare and process checks, ACH payments, and transfers.
• Reconcile payments and vendor accounts, monitor outstanding balances.
• Resolve invoice and payment discrepancies with subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and promote data integrity.
• Produce monthly AP reports and assist with month-end close.
• Support cross-functional teams to improve invoice flow and payment accuracy.
