Job summary

Ledgent Finance & Accounting seeks a Senior Staff Accountant in West Palm Beach, FL. This fully onsite role supports multi-entity accounting, AP operations, and financial reporting under seasoned leaders in a collaborative setting.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a detail-oriented, analytical mindset to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Knowledge of PO processing and three-way matching.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• ERP system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Heavily support and oversee accounts payable processes
• Maintain and manage vendor records and information
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and analyze aging reports
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure financial accuracy
• Perform accounts payable reconciliations
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Conduct variance analysis and identify financial trends
• Review purchase orders and ensure proper three-way matching procedures
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Prepare and distribute AP reporting and analysis
• Support multi-entity accounting operations
• Assist with financial reporting and special projects
• Handle ad hoc reporting, analysis, and accounting assignments as needed
