Job summary

Optro is seeking a senior data analytics engineer to own and advance our data foundation. You will craft dbt models, semantic layers, and analytical models for ARR and pipeline, partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to drive data-backed decisions.

You will lead end-to-end production data models in Snowflake, apply SQL and Python at scale, and build tools that improve accuracy and speed across the revenue org. This hands-on role reports to the Director of Commercial Strategy & Analytics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data or analytics roles, with 3+ in analytics engineering.
• Leader's instinct for ambiguity and self-direction.
• Experience building analytical models for GTM teams (e.g., account scoring, ICP, whitespace).
• Hands-on data modeling from raw sources to usable models.
• End-to-end ownership of production data models in Snowflake.
• Expert SQL and solid Python for discovery, workflows, automation.
• Fluency with Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake; semantic layers experience.
• Experience inheriting and improving ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Software engineering practices in analytics: Git, CI/CD, tests.
• Genuine curiosity about the business behind the data.
• Ability to split big projects into well-scoped pieces.
• Excellent communication translating business questions to data models.

Responsibilities

• Own the function's roadmap and drive delivery.
• Build tested, documented dbt models for ARR, bookings, pipeline.
• Create analytical models for upsell, whitespace, ICP, and scoring.
• Develop semantic layers for self-serve analytics.
• Build AI-powered tools and automations to speed the team.
• Set data architecture, QA, and engineering practice standards.
