Job summary

Optro is seeking a senior data analytics engineer to own the data foundation and build production models in Snowflake. You will develop dbt models for ARR, bookings, and pipeline, and create semantic layers for self-serve analytics across Sales, Marketing, and Finance.

You will lead governance, drive analytics maturity, and mentor analysts while pushing for advanced modeling like ICP fit and account scoring.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data or analytics roles, with 3+ in analytics engineering.
• Leads data models for GTM, ICP, propensity, or whitespace analysis.
• Expert-level SQL and Python for discovery, workflows, and automation.
• Hands-on ownership of production data models in Snowflake.
• Experience applying software engineering practices to analytics (Git, CI/CD).
• Fluency with Fivetran, dbt, and Snowflake; building semantic layers.
• Strong communication to translate business questions into data models.

Responsibilities

• Build the data foundation and own the roadmap.
• Develop tested, documented dbt models for ARR, bookings, pipeline.
• Create analytical models for upsell, whitespace, ICP fit, account scoring.
• Build semantic layers for self-serve analytics.

• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance to scope solutions.
• Represent team in technical planning; mentor analysts.
• Improve data tooling and engineering practices; raise data quality.
