Job summary

Openkrill is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to build a trusted, governed decision intelligence layer that empowers teams and AI agents to make accurate, data-driven decisions. You will transform warehouse data into reliable business models, standardized metrics, and AI-ready analytical tools.

You will establish a unified view of customers, accounts, products, projects, and contracts across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the gold data layer: conformed data models for customers, accounts, projects, products, and contracts across CRM, application, payment, and billing systems.
• Own the semantic and metrics layer: define, document, version, and maintain standardized business metrics for dashboards, notebooks, and AI agents.
• Develop AI-ready data interfaces: create MCP interfaces and permission frameworks for safe exploration of data by AI agents.
• Establish data quality controls: implement automated assertions for data grain, uniqueness, and cross-system reconciliation.
• Evaluate AI-generated analytical outputs: create evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy and appropriate refusals.
• Translate business questions into reusable data products: collaborate with sales, product, and finance to build durable models and definitions.
• Drive technical standards and team foundations: establish engineering practices, docs, workflows, and quality standards for a new team.
• Integrate AI into everyday engineering: experiment with AI tools and incorporate them into development and analytics workflows.
