Job summary

Chainguard is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join the Analytics team and help build the data foundation powering decisions across the company. You will lead ambiguous initiatives, mentor teammates, and enable stakeholders to make better decisions with trusted data.

You will own and evolve core analytics platform components, including data models, pipelines, semantic layers, and self-service reporting experiences, while balancing immediacy with long-term scalability.

Qualifications

5+ years in analytics engineering or related field.
Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
Experience with dbt and modern analytics stack.
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Excellent communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve analytics platform components.
Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and transformations.
Develop trusted sources of truth across the company.
Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate needs into technical solutions.
Build dashboards, tools, and enablement materials for self-service analytics.
Own the full lifecycle of data products from discovery to iteration.
Improve ELT reliability and data quality across the stack.
Establish data standards, governance, and lineage.
