Deepgram is building its decision layer that enables durable, consistent numbers for analysts and AI agents. This senior IC role involves turning incoming data into measurable, reliable models rather than building pipelines.

You will work on a team where ingestion and orchestration sit with data platform engineering, while you turn warehouse data into conformed, reusable structures and agent-facing tools. Expect rapid evolution and high autonomy.

Qualifications

• AI-native mindset and use of AI as a core way of working.
• Proficiency in production-grade SQL and Python with reliable shipping and instrumentation.
• Ownership of semantic or metrics layers (dbt, LookML or equivalent) is demonstrated.
• Ability to reason about grain and keys before writing queries; distinguish defects from undefined definitions.
• Comfort building in-progress infrastructure without a fixed ticket queue.

Responsibilities

• Model the gold layer with conformed entities across systems (Salesforce, console, Stripe, billing).
• Own the semantic layer and define metrics so dashboards, notebooks, and agents agree on numbers.
• Build the agent-facing surface for data access without creating incorrect joins.
• Make correctness checkable with data quality assertions and evaluation of outputs against known answers.
• Absorb business questions from Sales, Product, and Finance to improve future questions.
