Job summary

Openkrill is seeking its first dedicated Data Engineer to design and own a scalable data foundation. You’ll build a conformed dimensional model, manage ingestion and transformations, and establish governance and testing standards.

Collaboration with engineering and analytics teams will shape a robust data platform. Responsibilities include building pipelines, ensuring data quality, and enabling near real-time analytics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering analytics experience with production dimensional modeling.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with analytical data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift or similar).
• Hands-on with modern transformation frameworks (dbt, Dataform) and versioned pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain conformed dimensional model across operational, behavioral, and transactional data.
• Own end-to-end data ingestion and transformation pipelines with governance and testing.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to support evolving data needs.
• Monitor performance, cost, and data quality; implement freshness SLAs.
• Document models and definitions for self-serve analytics.
