Job summary

Stanford University is seeking a Senior Analyst, Workforce Analytics — Data, Reporting & BI to join the Human Resources Group (HRG) within the School of Medicine. The role focuses on developing scalable workforce reports, dashboards, KPIs, and analytics to inform workforce strategies and decision‑making.

You will lead end‑to‑end BI initiatives, collaborate with departments and leadership, and leverage modern analytics tools to deliver trusted insights and data‑driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• Strong knowledge of workforce or HR data, metrics, and reporting practices.
• Experience with Tableau dashboards, including advanced calculations and row‑level security.
• Proficiency with SQL for querying data.
• Experience with Python/R or similar analytical tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive investigations to produce reports and charts from structured data.
• Develop and design methods for identifying data patterns and trends.
• Create meaningful reports illustrating key findings for leadership.
• Develop and implement data standards and governance practices.
• Lead or collaborate on standardizing reports, dashboards, and metrics.
