Job summary

Stanford Medicine is seeking a Senior Analyst, Workforce Analytics — Data, Reporting & BI, to transform workforce data into trusted insights. You will lead end-to-end BI initiatives, build scalable dashboards, and drive data governance with cross-functional partners.

The role requires strong Tableau and SQL skills, experience with cloud data platforms, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to senior leaders. Collaboration across HR and analytics teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of workforce data, metrics, and reporting practices.
• Expertise in Tableau with interactive dashboards and advanced calculations.
• Proficiency with SQL for querying and analyzing data.
• Experience transforming and integrating large datasets for reporting and analytics.
• Experience automating recurring data and analytics processes.
• Hands-on experience with Python or R is a plus.
• Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms like Databricks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BI solutions including dashboards, KPIs, and ad hoc analyses.
• Lead end-to-end workforce reporting initiatives from requirements to deployment.
• Coordinate data governance and stewardship activities.
• Create documentation for data, reporting, and analytics processes.
• Participate in user acceptance testing of new BI systems and upgrades.
• Define data investigations and produce standard or custom information from data sources.
• Design methods to identify data patterns and trends and propose investigations.
• Communicate findings to senior leadership with clear visuals and summaries.
• Collaborate with technical teams to standardize reports and automate workflows.
• Explore generative AI to enhance analytics, automation, and self-service reporting.
