Job description

Seeking a Senior Analyst, Strategic Deal Management for a 6-month contract position with a large manufacturing company in Charlotte, NC. The Senior Analyst, Strategic Deal Management works collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Portfolio & Finance stakeholders to lead, optimize, and coordinate strategic customer contract and large deal negotiations within key segments of our Food business. This position will work in our Strategic Deal Management team to lead key customer contract negotiation and large deal processes. This role is responsible for the contract negotiation process for Food customer accounts from beginning to end, while maintaining the contract management database, administering formula pricing adjustments, and providing ongoing customer RFP support.

Responsibilities:

• Leads customer contract negotiation and large deal processes for key Food customer accounts.
• Coordinates with Sales, Marketing, Portfolio, and Finance teams to develop strategies that optimize deal profitability and bargaining power in every negotiation.
• Supports contract creation and management while utilizing and updating our Contract Tracker for all contract updates and governance requirements.
• Works directly with Legal team to create contract materials for customer accounts.
• Leads RFP response process for customers within responsible market segments; implements best practices and recommends optimal response to requested commercial conditions; coordinates response activities & approval process with key stakeholders
• Drives profit improvement activities via working with Portfolio, Marketing, and Finance teams to identify opportunities for targeted price increase activities to improve our profitability across key product lines and supported customer accounts
• Supports formula price management process and manages creation and tracking of all food customer formula pricing. Working directly with sales and pricing teams to implement escalation and de-escalation to formula priced customers.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional experience in product marketing / portfolio management, account management, or financial management within industrial/manufacturing arena
• Proficient with Office 365: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, CoPilot
• Experienced with Power BI data analysis and dashboard creation
• Comfortable using ChatGPT as productivity improvement tool
• Ability to understand errors and debug simple Python scripts generated via AI tool - Codex/Claude (or similar)
• Excellent project management, organization, attention to detail, and follow-up skills
• Strong negotiation skills and analytical abilities + relationship building skills
