Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ, is seeking senior engineers to design robust power, analog, and motor-control systems for flight telemetry and termination products. You will lead teams from concept through integration on non-isolated and isolated converter topologies, with focus on power electronics and mixed-signal interfaces.

The role emphasizes leadership, schedule and budget management, and collaboration with ECAD drafters and other engineering disciplines to meet performance and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s in STEM and 8 years of relevant experience.
• Design, analysis, test, and/or simulation of linear converters and non-isolated converter topologies (buck, boost, buck-boost).
• Experience with isolated topologies (flyback, half-bridge, full-bridge, forward, push-pull, resonant).
• Experience with EMI filter design, transformer/inductor design, and electrical design specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry for non-isolated and isolated converters.
• Lead large design teams through requirements, definition, and integration phases.
• Guide ECAD drafters and junior engineers on layout, routing, and creepage/clearance.
• Drive technical growth and capture opportunities to mature the organization.
