Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design, implement, and optimize edge security for web apps, APIs, and internet-facing services. You will lead Akamai security configurations, WAF rules, and bot protections while collaborating across security, networking, and development teams.

This role requires 5+ years in enterprise security and strong experience with Akamai and Imperva platforms, with a focus on threat intelligence, incident response, and CI/CD integration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in enterprise web app, API, or edge security.
• 3+ years hands-on with Akamai security technologies or comparable platforms.
• 3+ years knowledge: WAF, bot management, DDoS mitigation, Web/API security, DNS, TLS, OWASP Top 10, Linux-based environments.
• 2+ years experience analyzing telemetry, spotting attack patterns, troubleshooting, and countermeasures.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Akamai security techs, including WAF, Bot Manager Premier, DDoS protections.
• Configure and tune WAF protections, rate limiting, IP/geography controls, API protections.
• Investigate and mitigate DDoS, credential stuffing, account takeover, scraping, threats.
• Monitor security telemetry and respond to incidents; perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD and delivery processes.
