Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design and optimize edge security for web apps, APIs, and internet-facing services. You will specialize in Akamai and Imperva technologies to strengthen the enterprise perimeter.

You will collaborate with application, cloud, network and security teams, participate in rotating on-call duties, and help automate security within CI/CD pipelines. A strong background in WAF, bot management, and threat analysis is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise web application, API, or edge security.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Akamai security technologies or comparable enterprise WAF platforms.
• 3+ years of knowledge: WAF, bot management, DDoS mitigation, DNS, and TLS/SSL.
• 2+ years analyzing security telemetry and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Akamai security technologies and Imperva Website Security.
• Design and maintain security controls for web apps, APIs, and internet-facing services.
• Configure WAF protections, bot controls, rate limiting, and API protections.
• Monitor telemetry, investigate incidents, and perform root-cause analyses.
• Collaborate across teams to integrate security into CI/CD and operations.
