Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design, implement, and optimize Akamai and edge security services protecting enterprise web apps and APIs. You will work with security, cloud, and network teams and participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities include managing WAF and bot protection, DDoS mitigation, DNS and certificate management, and CI/CD security integration; requires 5+ years in enterprise security and deep hands-on Akamai/Imperva experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise web security.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with Akamai security technologies or comparable WAF platforms.
• 3+ years knowledge of WAF, bot management, DDoS mitigation, DNS, TLS, and secure APIs.
• 2+ years experience analyzing security telemetry and implementing countermeasures.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Akamai security technologies like WAF and Bot Manager Premier.
• Design and maintain security controls for web applications and APIs.
• Monitor security telemetry and respond to incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and integrate security into CI/CD.
• Develop technical runbooks and documentation.
