Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design, implement, and optimize edge security for web applications, APIs, and internet-facing services. You will manage Akamai security technologies, bot protection, DDoS mitigation, and certificate management, collaborating with application, cloud, network, and security teams.

The role includes on-call rotations, incident response, and continuous security improvements across CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in enterprise web applications, API, or edge security.
3+ years hands-on with Akamai security technologies or comparable enterprise WAF platforms.
3+ years knowledge: WAF, bot management, DDoS mitigation, Web/API security, DNS/traffic management, SSL/TLS, OWASP Top 10.
2+ years analyzing security telemetry, identify attack patterns, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement countermeasures.

Responsibilities

Administer and optimize Akamai security technologies, including WAF and bot protections.
Design and maintain security controls protecting web apps, APIs, and internet-facing services.
Monitor security telemetry and respond to incidents; perform root-cause analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security and CI/CD integration.
Develop documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
