Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer specializing in Akamai and edge security services to design, deploy, and optimize protections for enterprise web apps and APIs. You will collaborate across security, application, cloud, and network teams to strengthen the digital perimeter and respond to threats.

The role includes on-call duties on a rotating schedule and exposure to CI/CD integration, incident response, and security automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise web applications, APIs, or edge security.
• 3+ years hands-on with Akamai security technologies or comparable platforms.
• 3+ years knowledge: WAF, bot management, DDoS mitigation, DNS/traffic management, SSL/TLS and cert management.
• 2+ years experience analyzing security telemetry and identifying attack patterns.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Akamai security technologies (WAF, Bot Manager Premier, Adaptive Security Engine, Client Reputation, Account Protector, DDoS protections).
• Administer Imperva Website Security configurations and integrations.
• Design and maintain security controls for web applications, APIs, and other internet-facing services.
• Configure and tune WAF protections, bot mitigation, DDoS controls, and incident analysis.
• Monitor telemetry and respond to threats; investigate incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
