Job summary

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport seeks an Emergency Program Manager 2 to lead airport operations and safety across ANC and Lake Hood.

You will develop strategic plans, oversee the Safety Management System and security programs, and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements while managing resources and personnel.

Qualifications

• Two years of managerial experience managing an organized effort to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, or recover from emergencies, disasters or terrorist events.
• Three years of managerial experience managing a program which included creating contingency plans, conducting exercises to evaluate plans and training, responding to events creating civil disruption or environmental disturbance, or directing the recovery from such events.
• A bachelor's degree, in any field, from an accredited college; AND Two years of experience managing a program which included creating contingency plans, conducting exercises to evaluate plans and training, responding to events creating civil disruption or environmental disturbance, or directing the recovery from such events.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans, goals, policies, and programs for airport operations and safety.
• Provide leadership and oversight of airport operations, SMS and security programs for ANC and LHD, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
• Exercise independent judgment in operational decision-making, risk management, and emergency and irregular operations, including staffing decisions.
