Job summary

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities seeks an Equipment Operator Foreman 1 in Akutan to supervise a six-person airport maintenance crew and oversee daily operations. The role includes snow/ice control, surface repair, vegetation management, and drainage work.

You will operate heavy equipment and maintain project records, coordinating with DOT&PF and other agencies while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate and coordinate heavy equipment including plow trucks, loaders, graders, dozers.
• Maintain records of daily work, inventory, and materials in AGILE.
• Respond to public inquiries, manage personnel matters, and coordinate with state agencies on projects.
