Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a seasoned Aircraft NDT Inspector IV to lead and execute in-depth inspections of aircraft, systems, and components to ensure airworthiness and compliance with FAA and EASA regulations. You will certify airworthiness after inspection and oversee RTS assessments.

You will develop inspection protocols, mentor junior inspectors, and perform audits of maintenance processes, driving high workmanship standards across complex aerospace tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically 10+ years of relevant experience.
• No prior FAA violations.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work location.
• Thorough knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and components.
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts.
• Understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures.
• Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Typically, 7+ years in a 145 Repair Station environment.
• Ability to understand and interpret complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex aircraft inspections.
• Develop and implement inspection protocols.
• Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of findings.
• Address and resolve significant compliance issues.
• Lead training and mentorship programs for junior inspectors.
• Conduct periodic audits of maintenance processes.
